Country Club Lima Hotel, in collaboration with the Pedro de Osma Museum, is incorporating new pieces from the museum’s collection into its main spaces. This alliance makes it possible for part of Peru’s artistic heritage to be appreciated in a different context, bringing guests and visitors closer to historical works that will be restored at the Country Club Lima Hotel until December 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the exhibition is completely free.

The selected pieces include wooden carvings, frames, chests, cabinets, and canvases dating from the 18th to the 20th century. Among them stands out an 18th-century tabernacle door, along with other carvings originally belonging to viceregal altarpieces. Gold-leaf frames, characteristic of the viceregal style that blends Spanish and Andean influences, will also be part of the exhibition.

Throughout December, the museum’s restoration team will carry out in situ interventions on the pieces installed at the Country Club Lima Hotel. The process will be visible to the public, allowing visitors to observe up close the specialized work that ensures the preservation of this heritage. “The work focuses on cleaning and recovering areas where the gilding or polychromy has been lost over time. Our goal is to ensure that these works are preserved properly for many years,” adds Flores.
